It is going to absorb my entire weekend if I'm left unattended, and I'm not sorry about that.

for me, dotAGE hits the perfect mix between tight resource micro-management and turbulent random events. The gameplay, UI and tool-tips allow you to plan each resource and turn exactly, but with a fun mix of random events that keep you on your toes. The soundtrack is purposely unique, fitting and very catchy. Replayability is positively impacted by the different types of technology randomly available to you in each run. I look forward to discovering which of the different technologies are available to me on a new run. The random events do not feel unfair. You are told when they are coming and what type they will be. I think the events are impactful enough to feel like a genuine story about my village is developing when they occur. Difficulty fits my play style, if you keep an eye on the calendar, go slow and plan ahead you can be successful.

It's a fun game! I love the management system: you need to plan a little bit ahead, but it's not super punishing like some games. Things get very difficult at harder difficulties, it's a good thing!
