Kill a kitten, is it done?
If I accidentally kill a kitten, would I have to restart to get all nine or can you still get them?

If a kitten is slain during a run, it will not respawn.

If you're feeling cheeky, if the game hasn't saved, you could try quitting and loading the last save.
