That should be what you want or very close to it, right?
Even if its a decision, its a decision to break multiplayer for weeks on end on an every few week cycle. This game has literally not worked more days than it has for cross-platform multiplayer.
Steam will apply the update automatically when you open steam and have an internet connection. There's no way to opt-out of the updates.
I purchased the DLC for myself and a friend as a birthday gift, and after arranging time off work, only to find that we were unable to use a product that I had payed money for.
This has been a persistent problem with 2K and Firaxis (and by extension Asypr) which customers like my friend and I have suffered with for years.
I would not mind as much if I had given warning before purchasing the DLC, but advertising 'multiplayer' is misleading at best, or a purposeful lie at worst.
