stuck at the screaming bird
I got up to the sparrow black bird that just constantly screams and pushes the character back and makes her roll constantly. I can't do anything and none of the buttons work, I tried to redo it a couple of times now and no matter what I do or what I try nothing works. I can't go any other way because it starts with a cutscene. After googling it, it seems she should be pushed off the building onto a tree and other people encountered this issue but I couldn't find any fixes. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's a shame cuz it's such a beautiful game, I really hope it's not something unsolvable

That bird battle goes on for a while so it's hard to tell exactly where you're stuck. In general though, use block to keep from being pushed around as much. and sometimes the bird actually helps you to reach places you wouldn't be able to reach normally. There are a number of excellent Let's Plays of the game, so I'd recommend looking at one of them if you can't get past a specific spot. But I'd recommend that you just keep trying out different things until you figure it out for yourself. The puzzles in the game are supposed to be challenging; you're not meant to know what to do right away all the time.

Setting the framerate of my display from 144 Hz to 60Hz worked for me.

Setting my refresh rate to 60 Hz worked for me too, cheers!

This is most definitely a bug.
At my native refresh rate (360 Hz) the first bird kept screaming at me without pushing me to the lower left platform. This kept happening no matter how many times I reloaded the scene.

This may be a dumb question, but how do you do this?

On my operating system it is: rightclick on desktop -> display settings -> scroll down to the button advanced display settings -> somehwere in advanced display settings should be a dropdown menue with a list of hertz options.

Let us know, if changing the display framerate helped!

Had this exact problem, and the most bizarre solution was changing the screen framerate to 60Hz. As the others say, the setting would logically be in your display settings, you may have to do an internet search on where it is exactly on your OS and Version.

I found this easy. I waited for it to scream then turned the dress into that block, it prevents you being pushed back, then I waited a second time and jumped and the sparrows sceam pushes you through the air onto the next ledge for me to continue. :)
Wonder if the OP got past as I finished the game today

I disnt have ti change frame rate to get past it :)

Thank you so much! I set mine to 120Hz and it fixed the screaming bird problem. <3<3

You didn't experience the same glitch then.

Yep - many comments on this issue are from people who don't realise that there are TWO very different problems people can experience in this chapter.:
(1) Some people have problems understanding how to use the 'heavy/block' power to get past the 'puzzle' part of the screaming bird levels. Which can be solved f.ex. by checking out a playthrough.
(2) But the other main issue is where players get STUCK/GLITCHED in a place where they should instead be blown off to one side to get to the next level/chapter. And that is a glitch/bug where the workaround for most people is to limit FPS to 60.

Two very different issues !
