It has been a while, but if I recall it correctly, the timing or the height you use to stomp down being heavy is the key to force the platform to the correct level. Dunno if you needed multiple quick stomps or one correct one. Try both.

You have to be the higher of you can before jumping. Getting the higher possible is puzzle related.

I know what you mean from trying the same on previous levels, however there doesn’t appear to be a higher position within jumping distance on this level. The ramps leading to the left and right of the picture are too far away to jump and make a targeted landing on the platform.

I tried both: One big stomp with heavy initiated at the top of the jump only moves the platform a third of the way down. And, if I “attempt” multiple quick stomps then she fumbles the jump+heavy combo and the platform resets back to it’s initial starting position.

Than only chance is to get higher. Can you use anything that will catapult you higher into the air to make a longer stomp?

Ah, yes, the wheel. Now that I see it again, I remember. Yes, it will drag you higher to make a very deep stomp.

Actually , the wheel doesn't 'drag' you higher as it is a static structure until the drop-stomp is executed perfectly. So you need to reach the very top by jumping between the spokes. This feat is not immediately obvious, but once sussed then, yes, it does provide a suitable place for a VERY deep stomp :) . Once the stomp goes well, then the wheel structure starts rotating.
