No but he is not in the oasis going straight

So I found him. He's on the Moon and you need to give him 3 Crystal Powders.

If you wanna see where he is and what you need just look at the spoiler.

He is at the moon in the middle room with the heal bot and he asks for 3 legendary powder

Where can I get this "crystal powder" or "yellow powder"? I don't believe I've ever seen it before and it seems like nobody has ever asked this question on Steam or Reddit before

The powder is obtained from the corrupted (purple) levels that you can choose to go to and complete. You have to have beaten a corrupted level once before on a previous run, before you'll be given the powder at the end of that level.

You cannot obtain 3 crystal powders from Quarry route. (From routing only)
You have to go through Fields to get into Doom Gardens.

(I found out the hard way. Half an hour wasted.)

You can get 1 powder from the slot machine robot, if you are lucky.

Even several, if you are unlucky (and hoped the fantastic drop would be a weapon, not powder)!

So, how do you get the 3rd powder? Max i can get is 2. Do i need to get lucky and get the 3rd from the slot bot?

Ruins > Scrapyard > Fields > Doom Gardens > Aqua Station > Fusion Core
Or yeah, just luck out with the slot bot.

ugh, I hate that they put him at the very end AND put a requirement on it. I have never made it to The Moon yet, and I would rather be able to filter weapons during the grindy early days before you have lots of wrench unlocks...

Agreed, it's rather annoying that such a useful feature is only reserved for late-game. Regardless, if you're having trouble getting there then just lower the difficulty, you don't lose anything by doing so.
