World War Z delivers a thrilling co-op zombie shooter experience, blending intense action with large-scale undead hordes. Inspired by the movie, the game features fast-paced combat, diverse character classes, and a variety of missions across different global locations. The AI-driven swarm mechanics create chaotic and cinematic battles, keeping every encounter fresh and unpredictable.

However, while the core gameplay is engaging, some maps are locked behind DLCs, which can feel restrictive for players looking for a complete experience. Despite this, World War Z remains a solid choice for fans of cooperative shooters and zombie survival games.

Fun co-op horde game, and we don't have many of those! If you like Vermintide or Left 4 Dead, maybe Back 4 Blood, you'll like World War Z. It's very simple to get into and can dial up to a satisfying challenge at the highest difficulties with modifiers.

Performance is buttery smooth on all ultra settings for me with a 4060. Runs like a 2006 game but with insane horde density and great textures and animations. Feels highly optimized.

Great variety of weapons and character appearances. Not a ton of cosmetic alternatives for each character.

Melee-focused playstyle is actually viable. Woohoo! I get tired of shooters and always want melee gameplay. There's a bunch of melee weps to use here. It's not a rich melee system with parries or lights/heavies, sadly, but it's got smooth combo chaining reminiscent of Arkham and Assassin's Creed combat.

Its like a Left 4 Dead 3 i would have expected 15 years ago. Buy it on sale, find 3 friends or join some Horde game with randoms. I played 66.6 Hrs last week. Let that sink in ;)
