For those that did it, how long does it take to make a VVVVVV map the size of the game's?
And what are the advantages of using something like Ved over the internal editor?

Depends on how much detail and complexity you want. If it's just similar to the main game (and you're using the vanilla assets), I could probably make a 20x20 map in a few hours.

Ved as of now is easier to use and has more features that make it more convenient to make levels.
