Why they didn't implement that, there's alot of allies mech models (and characters) in the game that we could use...
Worst part is that all those robots are playable in PvP mode, they all have functional controls and special abilities like transforming.
But in SP you can only play as boring blue not-arbalest.
now that you mention it, it does look like a blue arbalest in a way.... where is the lambda driver?!
I wouldn't mind if you had to beat the campaign to play a different mech, but really, there's all these cool gameplay styles and you're stuck playing as the Protag mech the whole time.
Especially in a mech game where who usually plays (this genre) expect to pilot different original models.
I don't know... maybe they will add it in the future, but i think it's a feature that must be present at the release.
part of me is also kinda wishing that we could also at least customize thunderbolt to the point where we can change models too
the less stealth missions the better
It was terrible.
Wouldn't mind an alternate MP gamemode where its 'pilots only' as a bit of fun, in smaller scale levels designed to accommodate them.
Front Mission Gun Hazard did on foot sections much better.
I think Metal Warriors also had on foot sections, but I don't remember much.
As well as the on-foot sections, the mandatory stealth one was just bad. The on-foot sections with mech-switching, destroying and so on from the original kickstarter campaign looked great, but I can understand they had to compromise.
