I bought the game the day before yesterday and I am thrilled and also the update before is great but why do I have to press a button to continue? Why can't I enter the main menu right away?

When you launch the game? This is mainly to separate loading from entering the game and pressing a key there also identifies whether you use keyboard/mouse or a gamepad.

Thanks for unlocked fps, this is a must today.

G-SYNC and FreeSync now works:

1. Configure Steam launcher to fullscreen exclusive via command line, see screenshot:

2. Configure NVIDIA or AMD Settings to enable variable refresh rate (both drivers & monitor)
3. Configure Cloudpunk Settings Menu: VSYNC to OFF
4. Configure Cloudpunk Settings Menu: Framerate limit to 1000

Make sure that you get the update. Might have to log out of Steam and back in for it to trigger.

With the addition of first person, the character and NPC walking animations need a highers fps. It's kinda jarring to look at them, like there stuttering.

Sadly "-window-mode exclusive" doesn't work that well on games running borderless fullscreen as default. Nothing beats built-in exclusive fullscreen and I don't understand why it is not proposed in every game.
