Is it possible to run the game on windows 10?
I open the game and start playing, but after a while it crashes.
I would be glad if someone could help with this.

How much (free) RAM do you have? You need at least 4GB for it to do anything, ideally more.

It runs, but it does crash alot. Luckily auto save works (most of the time) and reloading a save game is pretty quick.

We shouldn't have to do this. Firaxis should have done this years ago.

Crashes immediately after 5 minutes of playing

It doesn't crash very often for me. It usually does it when I am trying to lay a long section of track.

I tried to make the settings, but when I opened the code system of the game with the mentioned coding, there was no other match and the game did not open at all.
32 GB RAM available

To everyone struggling w/ the crash, do a search on YouTube for how to fix it. YouTuber by the name of Raven_2012 walks you through the fix. He moves a bit quick, but it works. Took about 5 mins and haven't had a crash since.

There was a patch that keeps it from crashing so much. I found it online somewhere, but I doubt I could find it again. It worked pretty well on Windows 10 for years, but since some updates, it's still playable, but crashes more. On Windows 11, it's unplayable due to constant crashing. You'd think someone would make a new fix and post it here.
