Error sending data to host bug?
Me and my buddy have been playing with no issues for a few days now, we both had an update today and now multiplayer is totally unplayable.

Cant save the game, 3 different friends instantly get kicked after joining. We've tried restarting our PC's, verified game file integrity, restarting just the game, and swapping hosts and it ends up the same every time.. curious if anyone is experiencing this and found a fix?

Having the exact same issue. Every time I try to join a friend I get kicked and it says connection timeout issue sending data to game host.

This is happening to me too. Trying to join the usual co-op game file but keep getting a time out error

its due to the update, i was playing perfectly just fine, update happened and then boom timeout issues none stop

Also getting the same result.

Unable to load our multiplayer file. After a few seconds, the joiner is kicked, and we get "unable to send data" error message.

Started a new file, and could play for a few hours no problem. But upon save and quit, when we came back, unable to load with the same instant-kick and unable to send data message.

Same result as of last update. Switched host between our group of 4 and also had a scenario where the host can see all 3 other players, but each of them can only see the host.

Same thing happening to us, I bought the game for 1 of my friends but we cant play together :( We tried everything just to realise it was the latest patch .... Its sad because ive been wanting to share how much I love this game with my friend but all they can see is the game not working.. AND its working between me and my boyfriend if were in the same house but not between my friends and us.

Had the same problem here. Changed networks and friend was able to join just fine. Problem seems to be result of the new patch and I don't see any other imminent fixes

Same issue here... me and a friend have been playing this for years and no issues until the recent update. Hardwired ethernet connection, no packet loss and can play anything else. I'm also gay at times, not related.

Same here too.. Group of 4, I can only see host, host can see all 3 of us but it seems we are often fighting different instances of enemies. When I reconnect to try and fix the problem I'm missing half the buildings and shelves with items, etc.

Having the same issue, ever since the update i get disconnected from my coop partners lobby any time when I join with the same error.

And yes, My internet speed and connection is fine. Every other online game I have works flawlessly, it's just this one and it's only after the most recent particular update.

Mine miraculously fixed itself. And no less than 24hrs later it's back to doing it again lol what a bummer not to mention it deleted our save so we had to restart

yeah this game always ran 100% perfect. I hadn't played for some time but seeing the update thought id redownload and give it a spin again. But been having almost endless bugs and instability. Just opening the game this morning is freezing my whole computer to the point of having to force restart multiple times.

Bruh bought this game to play with a friend who also enjoys survival games, had high hopes but here we are unable to connect to one another... Big Sad
