Yes, I unlocked 3 stars and iron and heroic everywhere. I unlocked all of that in Veteran mode. But if I continue to play in impossible mode, I no longer see any difference. So that I managed a level even in impossible mode.

That's not what he meant, there is an icon somewhere in the bottom-left or bottom-right(can't remember) of the book page where it displays the difficulty icon. There's another one for selecting the difficulty as well if I remember correctly, but that is coloured a little bit and the other one is greyscale.

Thanks for your help, yes on the right side of the book is a button to select the difficulty. But my problem is that I can't see which level I've played in impossible mode and which one I haven't. For example, it would be good if the flag on the map changed from silver to gold.

Thanks for your help, yes on the right side of the book is a button to select the difficulty. But my problem is that I can't see which level I've played in impossible mode and which one I haven't. For example, it would be good if the flag on the map changed from silver to gold.

Once you've completed a stage, there should also be a greyed out "button"(you can't click on it) that shows the highest difficulty level you've completed the stage on. It's just the picture associated with the difficulty level, just like the difficulty selection button that has a slightly red colour.

As you can see, there is the difficulty select button on the right in a pale red, the level start button in the middle in a bright red, and then the completed difficulty button on the left in a pale grey.

Hi Osiris, I had the same question and appreciate the time you took with your answer.

My issue is with the developers. These pictures have zero reference for meaning. I mean they could just say: Completed on Impossible. I guess making things clear using words has gone out of fashion.

If they wanted to use pictures at least give some indication as to what the pictures mean somewhere. Kind of like how they don't just number the levels. Super annoying.

Yes, it's a bit unclear especially when you can't see the picture very clearly, but I think it's because they added this feature later on in an update; when they added the Impossible difficulty if I remember correctly. It used to be that the only way to select the difficulty was when you pressed Escape to get to the menu. There you can see a much larger version of the pictures, but they also have text below them. So the developers copied the pictures later on when they added the feature to the individual stage screens and didn't really think about it much.

I tracked the path, and made sure I completed each level on Impossible. I made sure, that I not only got three stars, but if I had less than 20 hearts, I played again and again, until I completed the level until I had all 20 hearts (no loss of hearts).

My question: After I completed the last level, I did not see an achievement banner (and ring tone) indicating anything. Does anyone know if there is an achievement for completing all levels on Impossible? And if so, please give me the name of it. It's very hard for me to read the text in all the achievements, but if you tell me the title/name of the achievement, I'm sure I can find it (in the very long list).

It's called "Peerless Defender". It is possibly your achievement didn't synchronise with Steam(click on the picture next to the achievement to do this) or that one of the levels didn't register, which you can see in the AppData.

OK, I found it in the list of Achievements. And it does show colored-in, so I did earn it. The system did not generate the banner and ring-tone, so I thought I did not earn it.
