there are no patch notes or anything I can find outside of Steam to explain this sudden mysterious update so my guess is this is a D-mailed update

I really hope this small update wont mess up the Comitte of zero fanmade translation patch.

The only file that changes was Launcher.exe, which looks like it has gotten Valve's SteamStub added to it.

So my guess would either be (preparing for?) SteamDeck compatibility, or copy protection.
