Has anyone gotten to the guardian Echidna within 3 hours?
I was reading the wiki entry about this guardian and how she ages with the game clock. Most players I know of get to her within enough time to fight her Adult 1 or Adult 2 forms but have any speedrunners fought her Child form? The forms per game time are listed like this:

Phase 1 Form / Phase 2 Form --- Game Timer
Child Echidna / Adult 1 Echidna --- 0 hours - 3 hours
Adult 1 Echidna / Adult 2 Echidna --- 3 hours - 15 hours
Adult 2 Echidna / Adult 3 Echidna --- 15 hours - 35 hours
Adult 3 Echidna / Old Echidna --- 35+ hours

The Child form has a unique ramming attack the other forms don't have but I'm more curious about the difficulty differences between the forms. Are the later adult forms stronger? By how much? Does the Old form make her weaker or stronger?

Also, what kind of routing gets you to her within 3 hours with enough time to fight the battle?

So sometimes the fight is two phases while it's three phases in others. What factors decide how long the fight is? From my fight with her in Hard mode just now at around 13 hours on the game clock, I seemed to have fought Adult 1, Adult 2, and Adult 3.

Ehh, the wiki is inaccurate...

Also, is the giant sweeping beam attack only on Old Echidna or at least the form where she looks like she's falling apart (I don't know if they are the same thing)? I didn't see her use it at all in my fight with her, just the 360 machine gun fire.

Is there any way to do it without using glitches?

Yeah, I've done this on recent versions, just to see if it is possible. You need to make a beeline for Echidna ASAP, which also requires using some mantra combinations (to be precise, to get the vase and then the cog) without getting those naturally from game hints, so basically its kind of a "new game +" thing. Not needing to go to Eternal Prison to get those hints saves a huge chunk of time.

So you just get Djed Pillar and the Feather as quickly as possible, defeating Fafnir, Kujata, Yormungand and Vritra in the process. Then you get Anchor for entering Heavens Labyrinth, collect required mantras, get Vase then Cog, hunt down Ratatoskr on the way, then finally make your way through Heavens Labyrinth, then Hall of Malice.

My game clock says 2:38, saved at Hall of Malice after defeating all minibosses.

Doing this on hard mode would be quite a bit more difficult I suppose. Those bosses can get really tough without more equipment on hard mode.
