has any one else had this is this meant to happen or is it a bug?

Walking as in moving slowly? That doesn't sound right. Have a video?

no it just keeps walking at normal speed on its own very strange

Sounds like a controller issue. Try toggling some things on steam controller settings.
If you are using keyboard then I'm not sure.

yeah im using controller its ok on other games just this one

I have to specifically disable my steam controller support for it to work properly in this game (compared to Mulana 1), so maybe some setting will work for you. Not sure.
