since it has remote play. technically you could "couch co-op" over steam.

With Remote Play you only need one player who owns the game, the other one joins through Steam and plays as if it was local co-op - with the host's current progression on the host's save file.

Does it require split-screen?

Both players are on a single screen. If playing via Steam Remote Play, the host "streams" their screen to the coop partner.

Man, thats too bad. Ive been waiting for years hoping it would get true co-op. Great game but our group plays together mostly.

Shared screen when you are close and split screen when you run away from each other.
This would be awesome!

I know it's too late! But we just started to play this masterpiece and half of the time one of us is busy in Real Life! (toilet, kids, hungry, thirsty, doorbell, ..).
The other person is always forced to wait.

I am so happy that Dysplaced has online coop! =)
