For those who want a fun game that pays homage to both Megaman X and Megaman Zero, this is the one for you, it's controls play smooth and it's combat is very satisfying. With multiple difficulty levels and ability customization it's a game both casual gamers and people familiar with the difficulty of the Megaman series can enjoy. A+ game.

Derivative in the "improves upon the original by leaps and bounds" kind of way. Everything about this game is just so well done.

Pros:
-Platforming, controls, movement. All perfect. Nothing else to say there, that's it.
-The combat is so much fun. I love grabbing enemies and throwing them. The special moves are great too.
-The art direction is solid in almost every aspect.
-Not one bad thing in terms of presentation here. No bugs, no weird glitchy things, nothing.

Mixed:
-Music. I felt that it wasn't always that memorable or interesting (Kai theme and HQ theme, though... those are hard).
-Aesthetic. It's not for me. I wish this game went more 16 bit. The monochrome color schemes are just weird. A lot of the paint jobs for your character are made up of one color. There are two skins in this game that look so similar that you'd think they are the same paint job.
-Price. The game is very short for the price, but there are more gamemodes + replayability.


Cons:
-Boss fights. They do a lot of damage and you don't do enough. They also get I-frames after a few hits, which is just limiting and breaks the flow of combat. Not an elegant solution. Some attacks feel unavoidable. It's also hard to tell when they are invulnerable because of the color scheme.

-Story. Nonexistent. Basically just worse Megaman X/ Zero. The dialogue between all of the characters is stale. Sometimes it makes no sense. I shouldn't complain about this, but I feel the need to because they try to make it seem like these characters are alive and important but it always falls flat.

-DERIVATIVE. By far the worst part about the game. This game barely has an identity because almost everything is lifted from Megaman, Megaman X, Megaman Zero, or other franchises. It's a classic "ooh retro" indie game, which is something that immediately makes me lose interest. I wish more indie developers would use their love of older videogames to enhance their own vision instead of succumbing to it.

Overall, great game. Buy this ♥♥♥♥.

I have some minor criticisms, but good overall.

Minor criticism being the map/power difficulties of the stage and bosses seems at times inaccurate, and one stage took me 27m. And some moments feel like experience-checks rather than problem solving, timing, or skill checks. And timing checks seem paced alternatively to intuition so it requires paying attention more than I am used to. And the game criticizes you for taking damage or not speedrunning it.

Edit 1:
Good game lol. More content than I thought. Can challenge records and simulate bossfights and stuff too so you don't need outside means to try and practice speedrunning the game if thats what you want to do and theres plenty of mechanics to enjoy and a practice room to test abilities you buy in (once you can get up there at least with airslide or doublejump).
