What was the reason for that?
Were there official forums?
Anyway I guess it's because maintaining dedicated official forums takes resources and only big publishers/Stores/platforms want to put the money to keep people managing them.
Also businesses often (incorrectly) assume social media platforms users represent accurately their user base so they don't worry about having their own forums/support anymore
Managing forums isn't some major expense like you steam users think it is, and even small companies sometimes have their own forums. I know the Remedy forums (which hosted all their games) were pretty active but I never saw the announcement of them shutting down.
Right. What's the point anyway? Most servers don't ask for that.
