Steam update coming in the next few days!

Hi everyone! 505 Games here. Just dropping by to let you know that we're planning to launch a Steam update in the next few days. This update will contain the following...

PATCH NOTES
* Control can now be played offline on Steam.
* Removed redundant developer info from the window title bar
* AWE content and opening mission will unlock properly when importing save files from the Epic Games Store version of the game.
* Fixes to Japanese localization
* The Foundation: Fixed a bug that could potentially prevent players from completing side missions

As soon as we're ready to launch, we will let you know :)

Excellent! Is there any way we can get all the outfits and the kojima mission unlocked for Ultimate? I bought Collectors for PS4, and it feels more Ultimate than the Steam one due to missing content.

After waiting a year for the game to be released on Steam, I was quite disappointed. I was on planning on purchasing the Ultimate Edition here because all of my other games are on here, having finished the base game and The Foundation DLC on Epic Games. After doing research and reading about the issue revolving around game saves, I was let down and finally decided to hold off.

That's great to hear. Will sthe patch also fix that some messages are displayed in the system langunage rather than the adjusted language. I.e. I see some messages (on the start up) be displayed in german, despite setting english as the game language.

Hope you keep supporting this for the time come.
There could still be some QoL improvements along with the obtuse map (minus the waypoints of course), but for example a new game + would blast me the f*ck back right away

Will this patch fix the constant crashing I am getting?
Can only play the game for about 15 mins before it freezes and I have to end task.

Have you guys looked into the freezing during loading screens and losing hours of progress? Even though I'm accessing loads of control points, it'll often just.. freeze and set me back an hour or two. I've done the same part of this game 4 times now, but it's just hassle at this point

Thanks for the update, one issue I've had that isn't addressed here is that achievements sometimes don't unlock as soon as you fulfil their requirements. Mind you, they eventually DO unlock, but it would take another "trigger" for it to do so, whether it be picking up a collectible, or leveling up a skill etc

This has also happened to me once, last night. Fortunately I only lost about 15mins of progress but it was still annoying considering I was quitting the game normally when it decided to do that.

My game is not even able to launch with DX12, I've been able to launch it till the yesterdays patch. Also it is crashing a lot and the last time I launched it I was not been able to continue playing.

I don't mind the "redundant developer info" in the title bar, I like it in fact. It's a rarity to get that level of detail anymore.

well, my pc doesn't have the .Net farmer 3.5, or whatever it call. So this game can't be launched. And I also have some games told me that I don't have that, but I at least can launched them. Plz I really want to play, plz make this go away
