RX 7600 - game trying to utilize more than 8 Gb VRAM at any settings
RX 7600 - game trying to utilize more than 8 Gb VRAM at any settings at DX12. EGS version.

In general it eats about 7,5 Gb and trying to go over limit. In Mail Room or Dead Letters it leads to massive stutters and FPS loss - from like 90 to 15. Latest drivers and stuff. Lowering setting to a potato (lower render resolution, everything is off or low) doesn't help. Only way to play properly is to switch to DX11, where it holds 80-100 FPS at 1080p.

Is it unoptimized driver or the internal game problem? Can we have a patch?

It is probably an internal game problem, because the same thing happens on my 6600.

♥♥♥♥♥♥ AMD drivers. Nothing new. Still have no idea why people buy Radeons today....

how is that a driver problem? Can you be more specific, please?

I was having major problems similar to yours until I downgraded my drivers to 22.11.2. Game runs fine now on max settings (6800XT).
ok, i found a some solution. It has been more than year, but whatever.

Game stutters like hell. But if you can disable Resizable Bar - do it. It cures stuttering for some weird reason, so it's now playable with consistent frametime. You can even play with RT on RX7600 - 45-50 fps with medium settings and all RT options on. Or get about 70 fps - if RT reflections are disabled.

If I'm not mistaken (and I might be), there's going to be some sort of patch this year that includes the mod mentioned in the guide (it was made after release by one of the devs). Hopefully they'll let you use all the VRAM after that, too.

What is Resizable Bar? Can you tell more specifically? I've put all settings to minimum, but it is using almost all 6gb of VRAM, that doesn't make sense. I've changed resolution to 1280x800 and it's almost playable if you can deal with constant stuttering, but it still uses 5Gb of VRAM. Something is really off here.
Resizable Bar - specific technology, which allows GPU to use some sort of quicker acces to RAM. But in some cases this leads to glitches. Look for disable option in driver settings. For radeons you can find it at Performance - Tuning section.
