Bug: If you unlock the elf builder, then choose [start new game] you can actually start with the elf builder.
Feedback:
Elf vs Orc: Beating maps seems to be a game of getting a magic damage dealer up asap. For orcs this means the troll, but for elf this seems to be the ice mage. The icemage is expensive at 16magic. The ogre equivalent wyvern is also much more difficult to purchase needing 3 resources. If you dropped the green gem requirement from the wyvern entirely, and reduced the ice mage's costs a little, I think they would be much more equal.
Resource placement: More of an issue with elf b/c you need all 4 resources, but I find I restart the map over and over until I have at least one magic mine and one food mine. Beyond that resources are scattered and you may or may not find what you need. It would feel a lot less haphazard if you knew you'd have at least one of each resource in the surrounding rocks (instead of blasting everything open to find out you will never find the resource you need)
Artifacts: I got one that had 6% off unit costs and that was hugely helpful, but the rest are so mediocre that they don't affect the game play. cost of mine down one gold? Start with an extra 3 gold? pretty pointless.
Wishlist:
Fast forward button!!! The waves are repetitive when you're redoing levels.
Either replay maps, or enter maps in some sort of endless mode (perhaps just repeating the map's waves with exponential growth past the boss?)
Blog/website/email list so we can get notified if there is a patch or improvements. I've already played the hell out of it, but I will be patiently waiting for new updates to play through it again.
