Any way to generate more rivers?
Is there any way to increase the amount of rivers that generate in the world? Tried looking through the workshop and there's none. Have a couple mods that add buildings for cities built next to rivers, but then I realized how scarce rivers are in the base game.

Using the In-Game Editor mod ==> use the edit locations feature.

Can manually add rivers by clicking along a hex-edge - Arrows show the flow direction; reverse by reclicking the edge.

I try to make it logical by running the river from near a mountain and follow contours to a lake or the sea :Diplomat:

That's useful, but it does feel a little cheaty. Any way to get the world generator to place more of them down?

If you want too many rivers without mods look no further than the Great Plains map. Basically rivers everywhere. You can also create your own map and add rivers yourself, which is exactly the route I took to get more rivers.

IGE is awesome, but I also agree that it doesn't feel organic to use it.

Not so much so if done upon initial game-start ... All civ's have a shot at whatever one has added to the map.
you could try experimenting with variables that have river in their name in (if you have the BNW expansion):

Sid Meier's Civilization V/Assets/DLC/Expansion2/Gameplay/XML/GlobalDefines.xml

I have messed with them a bit, but no matter what I do it doesn't seem like they do much. However, I was messing with the files in the base game and not the ones in the DLC, so I'll try that out next and see how it goes.
