AFTER NEARLY 30 HOURS IN-GAME I can safely say that this title is a literal definition of the GRIND.
If you have 2/3 of your friends to play, then it's ok, even fun to play, but if you play alone, unfortunately you will get tired of farming at early/mid game, it's a torture.
There are separate resources on each island, so you have to travel back and forth between the islands to be able to get them and make some progress.
Not to mention the absurd amount of items needed to make an object in comparison with the amount you get from farming and crafting.
Well at least endgame tools and transportation methods make it much easier.
In the game you can find NPCs of traders for whom tasks are performed.
The number of tasks is a little bit ridiculous, but only by completing them you will be able to unlock the endgame equipment.
The monkey management system is +/- fine, but it still helps a lot in production.
A strong downside is the fact that one button is used for many things, so sometimes you can get a little annoyed by switching items with your monkey, instead of picking up something.
I was certainly very disappointed by the lack of mounts, even though there would be at least a few animals in this game that would work.
If you're going to play it, I highly recommend you to finish the first island asap and move to a island that has 2/5 of its skulls, where you should build your main operative base and start farming metal.
In general, the game is not bad, but the intensity of the grind is at least a huge downside for me.
For example big bird feather having insanely low drop rate from wild birds, but if you tame them then magically they drop feathers like no problem.

Don't play alone unless you are a masochist.
I'd love to recommend the game, but personally I'm not a fan of spending 70% of the time solo grinding just to make a little bit of progress.

the game is boring

Truthfully I was going to enjoy a new save file with a brand new character but you know there seems to be no button so oh well uninstalled.

The most glitchy, unintuitive UI and controls ive ever seen. Genuinely unplayable.
