I am sorry to hear of this issue!

Could you please try the following, to verify the integrity of the game cache:

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit

i have the same problem! i tried the solution you gave but it did'nt work at all! so right now the game is just unplayable...

My girlfriend has the same problem, she plays in French and it doesn't work and if she puts the game in English, everything works.

I had the same problem and tried the solution from dev team but it doesn`t work.
After playing a little bit with the game settings, i found out that the game will work, when you set the quality on "low" and unable the hints.

Same exact issue. This fixed the problem and I am able to progress but definitely a bug that needs to be fixed... I'm playing and experiencing this in December 2021 but the original poster made this post back in March 2019. :/

I'm on level 1 and the game won't play. The level begins and the luggage goes down the conveyor belt but no customers show up and the clock never progresses.

I checked the integrity of the file as was suggested, and it still plays the same.

Thank you to poster Grombier. I took your advice of setting the quality to low and disabled the hints and now it playing.

Story's good but couldn't make it past level 33 because of glitch that wouldn't allow me to pick up any supplies. :/ Only got to play half the game.

I had the same issue, disabled hint and it worked after.

Thanks for your help. I didn't see this post until just now, but my game's working and am finally going to be able to finish it. Didn't do anything but so happy.
