Hello,
I've recently been trying to get my model train through the newly unlocked areas of the diorama. But somehow I can't figure out how to operate the switches at intersections (marked by double-headed white arrows superimposed on the tracks). Very rarely I've managed to switch direction by left-clicking somewhere on the arrow in flying camera mode. But because most of the time that success happened somewhere somewhere in the middle of a frantic clicking session all over the general vicinity, I can't figure out which part of the arrow reliably triggers the switch from one branch to another, or how much it depends on my camera angle while clicking. Could someone enlighten me what I've been doing wrong?

It feels a bit embarrassing to ask for help with such a simple thing, but that's how desperate I've become with this minigame.
