I hope you can keep your CPU cool enough for the game.
Keep in mind, that many modern games do not utilise CPUs so much as they utilise GPUs.
With Anno 1800 the situation is different. There is a lot of data the CPU needs to process (units movement, production, etc) and the game stresses the CPU much more that other games normally would.
The longer you play and the bigger your population, the more work the CPU will have to do.
Perhaps have a look at laptops cooling mats, if the temperatures start getting too close to the max allowed by AMD.
thanks dev! i have a cooling pad and its really not a big deal but i was just curious why it ran so much hotter than similar games (or even high end FPS titles)
