Hey! When playing on the Steam Deck, the game will crash when attempting to host or join an online multiplayer game. We are actively working on the issue, and as a workaround you can instead host/join your online games using the Direct IP screen.

Please fix it, the game lose a lot without multiplayer. We have paid to get a full game :)

so for me. Its when I try to join. I tried 4 different games and each one crashed on the steam deck

I had the same issue using the demo version. Would gladly buy the game to play with friends as soon as it is fixed.

They have unfortunately stated elsewhere that Linux (which the Steam Deck uses as its OS) is not supported. It's been quite awhile since this was first reported. I don't expect that this will get fixed, sadly.

Great just bought this, not impressed. This will be the last game I buy from team 17.

I've had my eye on this game for a while and was about to purchase today until I noticed a review saying multiplayer was broken on Steam Deck.

Can anyone clarify the status of this? Does the game crash only in online multiplayer? Does local multiplayer work on Deck?

I might still consider purchasing it if local multiplayer works on Deck. But then again maybe I won't since Team17 said they're "actively working on the issue" more than half a year ago and then disappeared without further updates. . .

Hello Deozaan,

The game works on single/local multiplayer on steamdeck, and you should also be able to play multiplayer using Direct IP (you would have to enable portforwarding, or play on a local network with local IP addresses).

The only issue we're facing is online multiplayer (via steam servers and not direct IP).
