A brutal, gory boomer shooter that’s definitely a great fit for fans of the genre. As for me, I found myself switching off my brain and just diving into pure, unfiltered gameplay for a couple of evenings—no deep thinking, just action.

One downside for me was the overwhelming amount of visual effects—sometimes there’s just too much happening on screen, making it hard to see what’s actually going on. Sure, it looks flashy and impressive, but a few times it got in the way and caused some confusion.

Thankfully, the game is well-balanced and thoughtfully designed (despite the checkpoint system), so on normal difficulty it doesn’t get frustrating. Just keep juggling weapons, dodging enemies, and causing absolute chaos. Perfect if you’re looking to recharge with some mindless, adrenaline-fulled fun.

It's not bad or anything, but it feels sort of forgettable. Wow, I'm fighting zombies and demons, what unique enemies, I've never fought those before in a shooter! Oh wow, a super shotgun, but it has 4 barrels instead of 2, I've never seen that weapon before! Oh wow, I can dual wield smgs, I've never seen that in a game before! I'm realizing now that my sarcasm might not translate well to text, but my point is there's nothing in this game (that I've seen so far) that is new or interesting. Nothing about it is bad, which is why this review is positive, but I wouldn't actually recommend it.

It is a VERY VERY good game, with potential to be one of my favorites. However, any talk or discussion about PRODEUS always get overshadowed by the fact that this game has a very bizare save system that I do see the idea of, but it is implemented extremely poorly, and until that is fixed im not even gonna bother reviewing why the game itself is actually good, because the game is sadly broken and they should have focused on fixing this system instead of working on a DLC first. The game itself is very good though so I must say that I still recommend it. It is actually quite sad that something like this turns it from epic game to only a slight recommendation from me.
