Will this game get Steam Achievements? It looks so beautiful!

I'm in the Originem stage and kind of stuck there. I've looked at all the books and images and journal and all that, and when I look at the steel door on the safe, no names are showing up. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong or if it's just a graphics glitch or something. But I really liked this game up until this point because now I'm just stuck in this room indefinitely.
