Roadmap 2024
Roadmap 2024

Hello fellow Wizards!

This year, we'll focus on the newly introduced Quasi-Realms (Realmcraft), as well as extending the gear mechanics and improving Spell systems.

Realmcraft. Since the launch of Overture to the Collapse we now have 13 Quasi-Realms (including: 1 new class, 2 quasis that change baseline game rules and 10 quasis that improve upon T1 classes). We will continue adding new ones, including:
- At least 3 new class quasis
- Quasis with alternative game rules or changed game mechanics
- Finish T1 quasis and continue onto T2 quasis
Initially our goal was to accumulate a decent stack of Quasi-realms so that players could immerse themselves into those for a significant amount of time, and to that end we kept releasing them regularly during the winter/spring season. From the feedback, we now believe the pace of Quasi releases was a bit too high and regular, and players couldn't decide between doing a Prime realm, or waiting to start the next Quasi. Thus, we currently plan to release them less frequently, but potentially more than 1 at a time. This won't affect the amount of patches or their schedule.

We have released the new WHAT event in February as intended, and will now keep a regular Event schedule, which can be checked in the new Calendar window (the calendar button in lower-right part of the screen). Currencies from specific events will carry over to the next year, and Event-specific gear will continue to be earnable.

Spells. We intend to change the Spells in three different ways:
- Alter or rework some of the existing Spells
- Enhanced Spells. A way to acquire improved versions of basic Spells that replace the basic ones, which include a generic power-up, or new features or scalings even
- New Spells (including Spells unlocked through Upgrades or Triumphs). Completely new Spells that will compete or rival existing ones, ideally making the usage of spells preferable in different windows or with different setups.
We'll be implementing these changes throughout the year, gradually

Items. A new feature that will allow to improve specific item slots, increasing the base item bonuses equipped into that slot. Some of the items will not be able to benefit from that since some of the effects would cause issues if they're scaled somehow.
We also intend to implement a Trophy improvement mechanic not unlike Breakthroughs for Research items.

Spring:
- Cryomancer Quasi-realm
- Realm-specific item/spell presets
- Summoning spells improvement
- New items

Summer:
- Feature: Item slots improvement
- New unique class Quasi-realm
- Spellbook visual update

Fall:
- Feature: Trophies improvement
- New unique class Quasi-realm
- Enhancement Spells

Winter:
- The last, 20th item slot
- New unique class Quasi-realm
- UI Skins

Future:
- Pantheon Memetics
- Translations
- Valor rework

Pantheon Memetics. We have plans to extend the Pantheon system and make it more customizeable. If we manage to implement the baseline features, we'll also do our best to implement this, as well.

Translations. We've begun work on translation system earlier this year. The task is rather monumental, and we're gradually working on it every patch. For now, it's mostly about technical realization rather than translation itself. When it's done, we'll present it to you. At that point, it's likely we'll need your help translating the game into your language and will provide you the tools.

Valor rework. We have announced a rework for Valor trials last year, but in the end we've given priority to other tasks. If we find a great solution and have the opportunity, we'd also to implement it.

Throughout the year we'll also continue adding new content to existing mechanics and working on the game overall, which includes (but likely not limited to):
- New Triumphs and Achievements
- New Skins
- New Heritages, Imprints and Paramnesics
- Improve overall stability, performance and qol in the game

Thank you and stay tuned!
