Pick Rose instead of Hubert. She gives a strong army-wide buff and artillery is more useful here anyway.
Your heavy cav can almost solo the right side in the choke point. You only need 1-2 more units there, which lets you focus on the right side.
The rain appears after a set number of turns, so if you're really fast you can move some units up before the mud appears.
The boss and his guards are going to hurt, regardless of what you do. Try to have at least one spare life when you fight them. Saving a lot will probably help too.
If you can bait the artillery's heroic attack with a heavy infantry, that would also help.
Your light infantry can buy a skill that lets them ignore terrain penalties, including mud.
The artillery in the top left usually stands still until you enter the boss area, even if it could hit you by moving.
