24th Regiment Of Foot (M&B Zulu Mod)

The Battle of Rorke's Drift, also known as the Defence of Rorke's Drift, was a battle in the Anglo-Zulu War. The defence of the mission station of Rorke's Drift, under the command of Lieutenant John Chard of the Royal Engineers, and Lieutenant Gonville Bromhead immediately followed the British Army's defeat at the Battle of Isandlwana on 22 January 1879, and continued into the following day, 23 January.

Just over 150 British and colonial troops successfully defended the garrison against an intense assault by 3,000 to 4,000 Zulu warriors. The massive, but piecemeal, Zulu attacks on Rorke's Drift came very close to defeating the tiny garrison but were ultimately repelled. Eleven Victoria Crosses were awarded to the defenders, along with a number of other decorations and honours.

Hello all, myself and Shadow have restarted the 24th Regiment of Foot on Anglo Zulu Mod, we thought the best place to look is at the experienced members of the regiment. We have the following detachments available.

Line, Rifles, Artillery and Logistics Corp.

We have expanded quickly in the past week, but now we turn to the "old guard" for help. We would love to get the regiment back to its former glory of 100 members.

We grew to 100 members, then shrank. What happened?

Hi All, Long time no see, just letting you know that if anyone is into MMO's I'm on Lords And Knights, On World 6 (UK), will create a 24th alliance on there if anyone is interested, if you want to play along feel free to add me again lol. Not sure when I'll be in game next but still looking into internet, the problem is I live in a valley and that valley has 1 antenna for a 50 mile radius, so its extremely limited, so may not have very good internet if I do get it! But any way I'm on lords and knights, world 6 (UK) add me on steam if you want to join!

Please note that if I have removed you from my friends list it is not because I don't like you etc its only because we don't normally chat and because I have too many friends on here lol, also detachment heads need to sort out a 'rota' for admining the events. Thanks for reading :)
