4th SFG- Arma campaigns from WW2, Vietnam, modern day and into the future.

The 4th Special Forces Group is a unit of international ArmA III players. Our missions are weighted towards Special Operation Forces from time periods from WW2, Vietnam and the Cold War until the modern day, running ALiVE dynamic campaign operations. We use ALiVE to bring a large amount of intelligent AI in a living war zone, with civilians, reputation systems and dynamic AI generals.

We play ArmA III primarily but our community is very close and plays a variety of other games, so if you're looking for a place to call home you're in the right place. We've been around for years and are always willing to train/welcome in new players.

One of our goals is to keep realism at a level where it enhances immersion but does not take away from the game play, don't expect to be doing push ups and calling everyone sir, but instead expect intense combat, deep recon and entertaining missions. In addition to Arma 3 we also play other games like Insurgency, Ground Branch, War Thunder and Onward.

We are mostly modelled after a US Army Special Forces 'Green Beret' ODA (Operational Detachment Alpha) CIF / CRF/HTD ODA unit. They are specialised ODA teams/units within the Green Berets and it stands for Combatant Commanders In-extremis Force (CIF) Company or HTD Hard Target Defeat Companies. These units of Green Berets are a specially-trained and resourced element that is focused on Direct Action (DA) / Counter Terrorism (CT) missions. They do extra training for VIP protection, urban combat, direct action/explosive breaching and counter-terrorism missions.

Campaign Briefing- Panthera Republic, Modern Day- The Pantheran Republic has been invaded by Russian forces and the nearby NATO elements from the UK, US and Germany have been dispatched as a task force to help stabilise the region and restore control over the mountainous alpine region and the scattered settlements of the remote valleys and islands.
The Russian forces consisting of VDV airborne, Spetznaz and conventional infantry were able to drive back the allies to the coast and control the majority of the Republic and have been fortifying their positions over the winter months and bringing in further supports via heavy LCAC boats so expect heavy enemy armour including T-90MS, BMP's and air support including Hind and Black Shark gunships.

NATO are the allied forces and retain control of a small segment of the islands. Civilian presence in Livonia is limited with most of the population evacuated, so we need to be careful with collateral damage to keep the remaining population supporting our operations. The terrain is extremely mountainous and has thick forests as well as many valleys, limiting safe transportation routes and high Russian QRF presence. SFG supports include MH-60's, German CH-53 helicopters, RHIB and riverine assault craft, as well as naval fire support and land vehicles from the various NATO forces.
