501st Infantry Regiment - An Arma 3 realism unit

The 501st IR was created in June of 2017 by a group of men & woman with the goal to create a U.S. Army Realism unit with the same quality and feel of some of the great American units out there, but specifically in range for most European time zones. After a 4 month-break in April 2018 it was time to rel-launch the 501st Infantry Regiment. This was done in July of 2018.

The Real 501st
The 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, previously the 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment (501st PIR) and later 501st Infantry Regiment, is an airborne forces regiment of the United States Army, with a long history, having served in World War II and the Vietnam War, both as part of the 101st Airborne Division, as well as the War in Afghanistan as part of the 82nd Airborne Division.
Its 2nd Battalion (which we try to replicate) is assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, located at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

A European Time Zone (CET) Realism Unit based on the US Army Airborne.
That`s unique on it's own! The 501st IR conducts operations every Thursday + Sunday starting from 19:30 to 22:30 Central European Time. Our mission makers create specific Campaigns and scenarios for our members to enjoy with an ever developing storyline.


One Station Unit Training
(Basic training and AIT combined).
A training schedule set up so everyone will be able to join our ARMA 3 unit as a trained soldier. Based on real tactics and theory from the U.S. Army, OSUT is made for both the experienced and inexperienced individuals with realism / milsim units in Arma 3. Completely new to Arma 3 and/or realism gaming? Our staff will spend their time to get you up to speed on our protocols and tactics so you can quickly join our ranks and experience true realism gaming!

When joining the 501st IR Realism Unit you will first go through the 'One Station Unit Training' after completing your ''Basic Recruit Training''. When you have passed the OSUT you will go through a trial period, to see if you are a fit to our unit and vice versa.

Our aim is and will always be to give each individual player the experience of having your own billet/function and team which you conduct operations, exercises and trainings with, which usually result in some fantastic experiences and friendship along the way.
