"A 3-D Animated Adventure Game"

Sierra Entertainment was founded in 1979 as On-Line Systems in Los Angeles, California by Ken and Roberta Williams after Ken Williams, a programmer for IBM, bought an Apple II microcomputer which he planned to use to develop a FORTRAN compiler for Apple computers. At the time, his wife Roberta Williams was playing text adventure games for the Apple II. Dissatisfied with the adventure games that existed at the time, she realized modern computers could display graphics and had the potential to do more than presenting text descriptions on the screen. By 1982, On-Line Systems was renamed Sierra On-line and moved to Oakhurst, California.

Quest for Glory Series ($9.99) - GOG.com

Thanks to group member, Ben Franklin, for the head's up... The Quest for Glory series (games 1 thru 5) was recently added to the Good Old Games (GOG.com) repository for $9.99. This is the series previously known as Hero's Quest. By FAR, one of my favorite Sierra adventure series ever - neck in neck with Space Quest for humor.

If you haven't had a chance to play these games before, or just want to relive great memories, I HIGHLY recommend purchasing this now... This is a really great deal!

ken and roberta williams have a new game out on steam called colossal cave 3d, they go by a new company name called cygnus entertainment. Just writing it out here for awareness but adventure fans probably knows

king quest 1 on the PC jr was my very first sierra game. wish I still had the cartridge.

I supported the game "Plot of the Druid" on Kickstarter. Now even an English voice output seems to be in danger, as this stretch goal was not achieved. There is still the option of refinancing. Here is the link to the website:

It would be a real shame if the game had to do without voice output at all. Maybe there will still be adventure enthusiasts and sponsors?

Ich hab das Spiel "Plot of the Druid" bei Kickstarter unterstützt. Jetzt scheint aber selbst eine englische Sprachausgabe in Gefahr, da dieses Strech Goal nicht erreicht wurde. Es gibt jetzt noch die Möglichkeit einer Nachfinanzierung. Hier der Link zur Webseite:

Wäre echt schade, wenn das Spiel ganz ohne Sprachausgabe auskommen müsste. Vielleicht finden sich ja noch Adventure-Entusiasten und Förderer?

Für alle Freunde klassischer Point and Click Adventures gibt es eine ganz interessante Kickstarter Kampagne und eine kostenlose Demo hier bei Steam. Zu der Demo habe ich auch ein Review geschrieben vielleicht finden sich ja Interessierte, die diese Kampagne unterstützen möchten. Ich bin mal gespannt was da für ein Spiel letzten Endes herauskommt.

For all friends of classic point and click adventures there is a very interesting Kickstarter campaign and a free demo here on Steam. I also wrote a review for the demo, maybe there will be people interested in supporting this campaign. I'm curious what kind of game will come out in the end.

I just played the first chapter of the new King's Quest (2015). I was ultra skeptical at first, but the game is truly awesome. Also I played Quest for Glory I and King's Quest VII for the first time during this pandemic. Add me for Adventure Gaming stuff and fandom and nostalgia...
