New Updated information about the upcomming new X Rebirth game

In the last announcement I informed you that the game may be released around April / March, but I read a new post on Egosoft's website and thier exact words were:

"X Rebirth for PC is expected to be released in the fourth quarter of 2011."

4th Quarter would mean between October 2012 to December 2012, yes they did state 2011, BUT, I believe that was an accidental typo. I know, for myself, when the new year comes along, I keep forgetting to change the date to the next year and I always keep writing 2011 on my medication scripts, instead of 2012.

I am going to contact Egosoft about that date and see if I can get a bit more precise information, and to find out if they have any extra cool updates we can add to our group, I know Egososft loves it when groups contact them, because then they get confirmation that people are grouping together about thier games.

I will keep you all posted as I get updated information

The last Announcement I made about the apparent release of this new game X - Rebirth was provided by incorrect information. I apologise, as I was informed that it would be released by end of 2011.

I have just now found out that there is no exact release date for the game as yet, but I do have some idea of a rumour, that the game may be coming out by around March 2012. The forums are saying that March may be the maximum time frame that the new game should be getting released.

I found out some more detailed information. This time, instead of us being able to buy all kinds of different ships and play them as we wish to, I have been informed by a Customer Service operator from Egosoft, that the Ship that we will only be able to fly, will be a very rare and unusual ship and trust me when I say from what I have heard about this ship, well it is going to make having a fleet appear small in comparison.

This ship, the one and only ship we will only be able to fly, is a extremely Rare prototype that is still being tested by the company in game that created it. Simply put, you will begin with a small fighter ship, with the armaments that we could only dream of having for any ship we fly now. This ship will change shape, look different, can be separated into 3 ships and will be controlled together as still one ship.

As you buy new upgrades for your ship, your ship will change bit by bit. Every weapons, shields, enhancements added will change the ship looks and size. This one small ship will end up turning out to be the biggest ship in the game that at the end of upgrading it, you could only call the ship by one type of name and that would be a "City Ship".

So imagine having to hire Soldiers and train them properly, just to ensure that 1 of your weapons will fire when needed, Imagine of having to jump everywhere, all because you cannot actually fit through the jump gate. Imagine flying a ship that in every game you have ever played and thought to yourself "wouldn't this ship be a lot better if it moved faster" or " wouldn't this ship be a lot better if it could use a particular weapon" well you will be saying to yourself in the end "OK, so now I installed this new upgrade, what kind of gun would I like to create to be used for this ship section" as you will eventually able to create your own weapons within the ship itself with it's production facilities.

I truly cannot wait until this game is released and get to see all your thoughts and faces when you begin to recreate your own ship's size and weaponry etc.

Well of course I will keep you all updated as to the exact date and when we can pre-order the game and of course I will continue adding more information about this new game and ship as i get more information.

Plus don't forget, that if you had brought X3 Terran Conflict or one of the X - Boxes or X - Super box, then there is a new additional game out for free called X3 Albion Prelude. So for those who have the required games needed to get X3 AP for free, then check your Steam Library as it will automatically be added to your games list, but again only to those who brought certain games.
