[WCG Canada]Complexity Takes On Blight in CS Semi-Final

Complexity got a great start in the Best of 3 Semi-Final match of the Counter-Strike Canadian Championship, on Saturday night, in Toronto. The Ontario squad edged Blight.ca 16-8 in the opening match. Down 9-1 at one point, Blight started a strong come back but despite Garret Bambrough's efforts, Complexity held on to the win. The two teams will battle it up again on Sunday morning.

The winner of the Semi-Final will play No Pression who went undefeated in the preliminary round-robin. The 2008 Canadian champions made some adjustments to their lineup over the past few months and they certainly look ready for the another title. Staring Nic Lalonde, CC+ didn't make the cut out of the preliminary round.

GotFrag.com -In a surprise turn of events, esq.wind the team which nearly upset EG earlier this year at ESWC Masters of Cheonan has defeated WeMadeFOX in order to secure a spot at the WCG Global Finals later this year in Chengdu, China.

On their path to the top spot, wind defeated WMF in a best of three series taking the first map de_dust2, losing the second map nuke, and winning the final map of de_tuscan 16-7.

While it is currently unclear whether or not South Korea will be sending two teams to the WCG Global Finals like Sweden, the fact that WMF was unable to win their national final comes as huge surprise to the international scene. If only one team advances WMF will join the likes of SK Gaming on the short list of teams expected to qualify that were unable to.
