4x Turn Based 1996 Strategy

A group to help find players.

EoFS is a combat orientated 'civilization builder' game. There is a lot of production management and even food requirements for cities and units. It plays similar to Panzer General, except that there are over 30 planets with their own unique maps to fight over. But the objective isn't total annihilation either, it is to secure your place as Emperor over the known human worlds.

The setting is a science fiction 'Dark Age'. After the discovery of the jumpgates, humanity spread throughout the galaxy and was united under a single Emperor who secured this throne through military power. Shortly after being ordained he was mysteriously killed by unknown forces. Without any successors the Noble Houses fought over the throne. After years of war only five Houses remain, and humanity is in shambles. Scattered throughout the galaxy, without the knowledge of their ancestors advanced technology, mankind suffers. Who will once again be ruler?

The Fading Suns Discord has a PBEM game that needs a final person to start. Li Halan and Al Malik are the only houses that have not been claimed. GOG version and Reality mod will be used. All other setting have not been chosen yet.

My first Emperor of the Fading Suns livestream went better than I expected, so we will continue the adventures of Duchess Yusara al-Malik on her quest to become Empress. The main focus will again be on design decisions we made for EFS as well as discussions of the Fading Suns universe and anything else that comes up in chat. I just stumbled over this game. Hard to believe, that this went under the radar for all those years. Intriguing!
