So, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform everyone that in two weeks the EC website and forums will be shut down. After nearly 5 years of operation, the forums will now be taken down, with no plans to reintroduce them at a later date yet.

It's been a long time, and I've enjoyed watching this space exist, grow, people come and go, etc. and I hope that everyone finds means to keep in touch after the forums are taken down.
So I'm leaving this announcement so that people have time to exchange info, say their goodbyes and so on.

Ever wondered what Dan's real voice sounds like? Want to enjoy the smooth tones of James's ASMR-inducing narrative guidance? You're in luck! We're launching a new mini-series called Side Quest that features Dan and James as the former attempts to play Dark Souls, and the latter attempts not to take the controller from him. We'll be exploring the game design and the environmental storytelling that has made the series so popular, despite being so painfully difficult.

This series will come out on Mondays and Thursdays, starting on June 1 and continuing until you tell us you're tired of it. It will not alter the schedule for any of the regular Extra Credits shows, so we hope you enjoy the bonus content!
