The latest update for the free prologue JDM: Rise of the Scorpion is now available! This update introduces several fixes and new features to greatly enhance the gameplay experience.

One of the most important changes is the move of JDM: Rise of the Scorpion to the full version of the game's website on Steam. You can now find it as a free demo version under JDM: Japanese Drift Master.

New additions from the update include:

• Online Leaderboards in Challenge Mode. Both the grip and draft challenges will have their own active Leaderboards. The players will see them after a finished race, or they can be accessed anytime from the Challenge Menu > Leaderboards.
  
• Three new cars were added to the Challenge Mode (Mazda RX8, Mazda MX-5 (NA), Subaru BRZ II).
  
• New input preset for the Moza R5 Steering Wheel.
  
• HGP Shifter and HBP Handbrake to supported devices.

Fixes added in the update:

• Fixed issues that blocked input swapping between the devices.
  
• Fixed a critical issue where input would hard lock in the client after unplugging your steering wheel, completely locking you out of input control over the game.
  
• Fixed the issues when using the steering wheel to move around the in-game menus.
  
• Fixes to the driving gear physics and suspension for all cars in the Challenge mode.
  
• Additional minor tweaks and fixes across the game.

We are thrilled to announce that JDM: Rise of the Scorpion, the free-to-play prologue for JDM, has received its major update! We’ve been actively gathering your feedback to address the issues you’ve encountered, and with that, we’ve implemented several key gameplay improvements. This update also introduces a new game mode to the prologue, which you can learn more about below.
Challenge mode:

Experience the thrill of JDM: Rise of the Scorpion’s new single-player mode, where you can test various vehicles on closed tracks. Choose from stock models to those fine-tuned for specific challenges. Whether you're aiming for the best drift score or racing to be the fastest across the finish line, this mode is all about pushing yourself to the limit. Tackle Drift and Grip challenges, face off against AI rivals, and continue improving your driving skills.

Wheel presets - added T300, T500, T150, G29, G920, Fanatec V2 presets with added and fixed infographics. Added steering wheel navigation support and HUD interactions.

Custom binding - added a wide selection of device support. Fixed handbrake binding and improved custom binding of hardware.

SFX - fixed interior camera SFX and ambient sounds. Overall optimized SFXs with small tweaks. Transitions in UI sounds volume.

Events fixes - Fixed disqualification issues. Better drift in tuned versions for events - Nissan S14 in Driftschool, Nissan S13QS in Isamu Event, Nissan Skyline R34 in Ayumi Event, Mazda Miata NB in Daisuke Event, Subaru BRZ in Sota Event.

Adjustments - fixed localization, tweaks in SMS textures, adjusted horn range.

We also added more stability fixes for overall better performance.
