[SAH] Twenty Year Reunion -- RSVP

February 2025 marks 20 years since Sven-A-Holics was founded. That's genuinely a long time by any lifespan, and we've certainly all been through a lot in those years. I hope some day soon I can hear about it from each of you.

I look back on our short time together with warm fondness. Time has smoothed over the rough edges. When I browse the old forum, I am struck by how much stuff I no longer recall. Names I once knew, but can no longer put a voice to. I do not recognize much of my own writing. I accept responsibility for all of it, but it's as if someone else wrote it all.

It's for the best. I still remember the good times. Some nights, when I can't sleep, I get lost in deep introspection, remembering when I had nothing better to do on a given evening, and nothing else mattered besides having a good time with good friends: all of you. Nothing lasts forever, but sometimes I wish it could have.

If you're reading this, I hope you feel the same way, because DC and I would like to get us together for one more night. We would also like your help reaching out to people who would be interested in attending.

We will iron out an exact date soon, as we successfully reach out to as many people as we can. Probably a month out, so we can get our schedules to line up.

The plan is definitely to play some Sven on a night in the near future. I'm gonna line up some future announcements in this group in hopes I can get more peoples' attention and figure out which dates work for everyone. Watch this space. If you're in touch with any peeps who haven't reached out yet, please let 'em know it's happening.

I don't think HLSS works anymore but boy those were wild times. Good ol' 2000's internet. Sven's still going strong, though!

You know its been ages since i looked into the members we still have among us in the community group... longer since i looked at it at all to be completely honest. It is sad to see some of our own no longer listed, wherever they are those gone I hope life goes well. It will be good to see the few of us who remain at the reunion.
