Samsung has published their release candidate build in the US app store.

Fixes in this build:

• Fixed initial pairing and discovery issues
  
• Added support for advanced streaming settings
  
• Added support for 4K streaming on 2017 TVs
  
• Finalized shipping controller support (Steam Controller, XBox 360 wired and wireless, XBox One wired, Logitech F510/F710)

Please make sure you have installed the build dated 7/24/2017 and respond here if you're running into any issues.

Note that XBox One wireless and PS3/PS4 controllers are not supported.

Samsung is adding Steam Link functionality directly to their latest line of Smart TVs.
If you are in the United States and have a 2016 or 2017 Samsung UHD TV, we'd like to invite you to help test the Steam Link App, now available as a free beta from the Samsung Smart Hub.

The App uses the same streaming technology as Valve's Steam Link, allowing users to play their favorite games, and even spectate VR games on the HTC Vive, wherever they watch TV.

During the beta, playback of 1080p video at 60 FPS and support for the Steam Controller are included. For worldwide release later this summer, support for streaming 4K resolutions and additional controllers will be added.

Note: Streaming to the TV requires a Steam Controller and a high-quality network, at least 5GHz. A wired network is strongly recommended.

The following changes have been released in the Beta version of the Steam Client. To get these changes, make sure you've opted into this on the remote computer:

• Increased desktop capture to 60 FPS on Windows 8 and newer
  
• Added an option to change desktop resolution to match the streaming client in the advanced host streaming settings
  
• Added a separate option to enable NVIDIA ShadowPlay capture in the advanced host streaming settings
  
• Attempt to recover if the graphics driver resets during streaming. Graphics driver resets may crash your game anyway, and you should disable hardware encoding if you are experiencing these often.

NOTE
The latest NVIDIA drivers have broken hardware encoding in Steam. Please revert to driver version 376.33 if you need that. We are working with NVIDIA to get a driver fix.
