Here lies the final resting place of the TF2 server The Lunch Lounge. It was preceded by The Breakfast Bungelow and The Snack Shack.

May they all rest in peace.

We are saddened to announce that the Lunch Lounge is no more.

There was once a time when a tf2 server such as the Snack Shack was popular and in high demand. We have realized that this time is no more.

A bunch of us will be around the discord ( Invite link [discord.gg]) and there will eventually be a new group. One focused more around gaming in general and just having a good time with cool people. Anyone who wishes to join us is more than welcome to do so.

I'm sad to see it go, but I'm glad for all the good times that were had.

Just to clarify something on this...
The Lunch Lounge is in a somewhat of a dormant state. The decision to take the server down was that the domain/services were up for renewal at a cost of about $100 for the year. All things considered, not too bad. But the admin/mod staff here had to make the decision of - is the demand high enough for renewing the services for the year?

During the month prior to taking down the server, we had about a max of 3 people on per-day, with an average of about 1 person on every other day. If the traffic/demand for the server was what it was about 2 years ago, there would be no question of keeping it up. The popularity has just seemed to diminish.

But please come and join us on the discord mentioned above. We would love all of you to join us as we go forward and build our community together.

Hey look, an announcement!

Hi everyone!

Just want to update you all on a couple of things.

1) The Mumble that has been around since the days of the Shack, is dead. We've been testing out, and have officially moved to Discord. I encourage all of you to check it out. It looks a lot like slack with an irc-style chat and voip! I made a small guide on the discussions page for anyone who has never used it. Use of this voip server is also not just limited to playtimes and events. There are plenty of cool people in there every night just hanging out, playing some games, and having fun. 2) Weekly playtime is back! Yeah, I know we picked a bad time to do this with Fallout 4 being out and all. But whatever, fuck da police! I'll be making events for every Friday, and possibly Saturday. I'm still al little torn on having 2 weekly playtimes. Maybe have Saturdays be for other things (not tf2 games, sync tubes, etc)? I don't know. Feel free to give input below on what you think would be a good idea for Saturdays.

3) This kind of goes along with point 2. It's fairly obvious that this server and group has been sputtering quite a bit. And we're going to try to fix that. But we need your input. What direction would you like the server and/or group to go in? What would make you play on the server more? What events would you like to see? What do you want to do at these events? Does the server need more mods (lol)? Less? If you want to communicate with me directly, please feel free to add me on Steam. Any and all input (good or bad) from all of you is appreciated.

I know this was a bit long, but thanks for taking the time to read this.
