Metagame Missives is a group for those who want to hear about or discuss interesting games, from small indie games up to AAA blockbusters.

We're excited by a wide variety of games, with no affinity for any one genre, but principally excited by those that have interesting narrative and artistic qualities.

Yeah the brand of humour didn't go down to well with me. It's kind of stock fantasy silly orc type stuff. Orc says "Ug Ug." Which is a shame as from what I can tell the games mechanics are excellent. Combat is really good, has some interesting social mehcanics as you play two characters. Theres alot there to like. Just couldn't get hooked into the plot.

I'd definatly say it worth doing abit of snooping around Youtube as alot of people seem to really really like this game alot.

I've not played it, but @Manifest Goodburger has, he said he didn't get on with it much either. Said the gameplay was okay but he found the humour grating and it overplayed it, I believe. What didn't you like about it?

I like the idea of the co-op, where you both roleplay your own characters, so I was tempted, but it's too pricey for me atm, if it was £10 I'd give it a try, but £30 is just too much.

just curious. has anyone tried divinity with any success? i had a pop but couldnt get into it

The curator feature is great. I can see some communities on Steam becoming hives for gamers looking for reviews, opinions. I love the fact that it's almost blog-like now, but self contained.
