Big news, everyone!
Valve gifted us with a very charming and very unexpected gift!

With todays (yesterdays, depending on your timezone) Source Engine and TF2, DoD:S and HL2:DM Updates Mumbles positional audio feature has been integrated into these games!

That means updates for these games will no longer break our positional plugins then requiring updates on our side of things.
Try it out! Simply enable positional audio in your Mumbles settings and connect to the same server with someone in Mumble.
You should then be able to hear them talking from the direction they stand in in-game!


Another good nows for all you overlay lovers:
The update also fixes the overlay not showing. They changed some internal things of how they use Direct3D 9, resulting in our overlay working again!


As the updates were updates to the Source engine, we can expect further updates for Dota 2 for example, and maybe some more upcoming source games will feature native potisional audio.

In other news and our plans:
We fixed our texts yesterday, preparing for an official call to translations for the next stable release 1.2.4. The official call will happen when the next snapshot has been built.
Once we fix our stable-release-build-system we will then probably release a beta, before the first Release Candidate.
Once the release candidates proved stable, we will release 1.2.4.

Mumble 1.2.3 was released as a release candidate.
It is thus considered stable and distributed for a broader userbase to make sure if ppl. on this broader base find any (big) issues they can still be fixed before releasing it as stable.
