Right-click on your friend if he's online and click invite to watch.
Not what I meant. I go into broadcasting settings when I have the in-game setting turned on which says I don't have the overlay on.
I'm trying to configure the settings so I can have a friend watch me play a game, but the settings isn't allowing me.
Alternatively you can always broadcast using OBS over Steam, if you know how, but it's less convenient of course.
And btw avoid using square brackets in steam, they're used for BBCode-like tags :) Or you need to put them in "[noparse] [i do] [/noparse]"
Sorry, this is the first/second time I've made a thread.
I turn on the in-game overlay in the in-game section of the settings, then I click on the Broadcast part of settings and it says that I don't have the overlay on, when I had just turned it on. I tested it, closed steam, closed the game, everything. And it still says that I don't have it on!
It might be due to the game's engine, i'd try asking the game's developer if they can reproduce this issue, assuming it's possible to contact them.
What game is that? Have you searched that game's hub for similar topics?
Pizza Tower.

It uses a very popular engine, even Thor (Heartbound dev, cool guy, dev-streamer) uses it, so it's unlikely to be due to the engine. Sorry, no ideas for now. Try asking in that game's hub.
Guess I'm just using it wrong. Oh well.
Well I don't know what I'm doing wrong! I've seen guides and everything!
I'll get back to you on that then, but I don't think it's game-specific.
I would test it, but it's late for me at this time.
