As the image I posted below, apparently steam chat doesn't respect the timezone of user currently in.

I have same problem with you guys. My time zone actually GMT+7 but steam chat showing UTC time zone whenever i chat with friends. Im using Xperia Z3+ Dual Android Nougat

I have the same problem too. I'm on GMT+7 (chat timestamp is 7 hours behind the current time).

Device: Xiaomi Mi A1 running on Android 9 Pie (April Security Update)

Hi i have Samsung Galaxy S9 and only things i have issues with this app are 1: its opening slowly 2: images doesn't send sometimes or doesn't load.

Same issue here, my timestamps on the Steam chat app are all displayed in UTC+0 instead of UTC+8. They display in the correct timezone on the Steam mobile app and Steam desktop.

hey,im facing this problem too.(utc+0 showing instead of utc+8,local time),and like others have said this issue isn't seen in the steam mobile app and desktop

Same. Should be GMT+2, as local device time is set to, But steam chat shows GMT time. Have sent a feedback email with no response.

We checked in an experimental fix for this but haven't been able to reliably reproduce this issue so we can't confirm if it's fixed. Does anyone here have version 1.06 or later and still has incorrect timestamps?

The time is still incorrect for me

Yes, the bug still exist with newest update
