The Emoticon Repository is now using mobile authentication. What does that mean for trades? If you also use mobile authentication, trades will no longer be subject to the 15 day hold. However, those who do not have access to a mobile authenticator will continue to have trades held the full 15 day period. To compensate for the longer hold time, we have increased the number of emoticon withdrawals to 6 at a time every two weeks.

As a small side note, feel free to spread the word on the Repository. No need to spam your friend's list with invites (we don't encourage that) but if you happen to have any friends you feel would benefit from the Repository, let them know. The more traders among us, the better!

That said, let the trading commence!

In an effort to offer more "security" to it's users, as of March 9th, Steam is increasing the trade hold from 3 to 15 days on all accounts that do not use the Mobile Authenticator. Unfortunately, the Repository does not have a smartphone attached to it nor the ability to do so in the foreseeable future.

Sadly, these new security "features" do not bode well for the repository and it's future. If anyone has helpful suggestions on how to proceed, let us know. In the meantime, we'll be deliberating on how to proceed (if at all) with things in the coming days.

Just a reminder that we're still here, albeit a little slower than we used to be with the 72 hour trade hold. We have over 1700 emoticons available for trade in the Repository's inventory, so take a look if you haven't done so in a while.

As of December 9th, any Trades made to the Repository will have a 3 day escrow hold period. Unfortunately, as this is an alt account, I am unable to add authentication for a second on my regular phone. There may be some alternatives which I will be looking into, but in the meantime we will have to deal with Steam's draconian escrow holds. Thanks for your understanding.
