Feudal Uprising -Official-

Greetings everyone from the WCS team!

We are proud to announce our upcoming flagship title Feudal Uprising!

Feudal Uprising has been in planning since late 2013. We have been silently stock piling material for the title and development has officially broken ground!

Our estimated public release date is early 2017. This is of course subject to change.


Below are some core mechanics to look forward to!

Feudal Uprising is a medieval Sandbox, Survival MMO.

We have decided early on to go with an MMO type of network structure for the following reasons.-

Server Stability: When a new player enters the game for the first time and performance is poor, the player will quickly conclude that the game has been poorly designed. For example Rust: Runs very well on good hardware, but normally when you join a random community server there are a lot of lag spikes and FPS drops.

Private Community Issues: Granted I used to love having my own community playing on my own servers, but small private communities have a lot of problems, such as admin abuse, community rivalries which could lead to game play disruptions, staff bias, players spending most of their game play trying to find a decent server, all of which we would like to avoid.

We were inspired by many early sandbox and new survival titles, but feel the object of surviving has been done incorrectly. We also feel that our choice of era and weaponry will illuminate many of the problems with current survival titles, where new players are easily killed repeatedly causing only the killer to enjoy the game.


CURRENT FEATURES:

Feudal Uprising's world will be quite large for a world with no fast travel, but small compared to a typical MMORPG map. Horses will be available so your legs don't get tired traversing our map however!

Players will be free to build their own homes, farms, towns, etc, though we will save details for a later date since the system needs to be balanced in a way which will ensure we will never have to wipe like other games.

Extensive Clan & Guild features.

Combat will be the most in depth system of Feudal Uprising, as it should be. Combat is currently direction based such as Mount and Blade and Chivalry.

No Leveling: All players will be on equal ground, and stats will be based on items equipped, but not overly dependent. Yes a naked man can kill a heavily armored man, but it won't be easy.

Currency / Markets / Trading: Yes there will be currency, yes you can be a merchant. Marketplaces will vary from village to village, and the economy will be 100% player driven!

Large and intense sieges.

Survival will be hard: In order to survive you will need to hunt or forage for food and find a supply of water so you don't get dehydrated. Food will spoil if not properly preserved as well.

The world is alive! Feudal Uprising's world will be alive, with lots of creatures, predator and prey.
